Terms of service

These terms cover your use of the Cendaya app and this website. They’re written to be read, not skimmed past — the plain meaning is the intended meaning.

1. What Cendaya is — and isn’t

Cendaya is a personal life-tracking companion: mood, journal, meals and health vitals, with AI-written summaries. Cendaya is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Meal analyses are estimates; stories and insights are supportive and informational. Always consult a qualified professional about health concerns, nutrition plans, fasting with a medical condition, or anything your body is worrying you about.

2. The beta

Cendaya is currently in beta via TestFlight. Beta software can have rough edges: features may change or be removed, AI output can be imperfect, and — although your data is stored on your device — you should use the export feature regularly. The beta is free; we’ll announce pricing clearly before anything changes.

3. Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Cendaya — journal entries, photos, moods — and everything generated from it, including your nightly stories, belongs to you. We claim no ownership. Because data is stored locally, deleting the app deletes your data; export first if you want a copy.

4. AI features

Meal analysis and nightly stories are generated by a third-party AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) via our proxy. AI output can be wrong — a dish misread, a nuance missed. You can correct meal analyses in the app, and you shouldn’t rely on AI output for decisions with medical, financial or legal consequences.

5. Acceptable use

Use Cendaya for its purpose: tracking your own life. Don’t attempt to abuse, overload or reverse-engineer the AI proxy, and don’t use the service in ways that are unlawful where you live.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cendaya is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Changes and contact
